β€œAll experience is great providing you live through it.”

Alice Neel

From as far back as he can remember, Bill has had a passion for drawing, painting and basically anything creative. Early on Bill determined that he would find a way to make a living doing what he loved most...creating. He studied graphic design and illustration at the University of Texas and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. After graduation, he worked in the Central Texas area as a freelance designer and illustrator. In 1990, Bill moved to Los Angeles and partnered with a former UT classmate in a design studio. After a couple of years, he returned to Texas and founded Woodward Creative Group in 1992. Over the past 30 years, Bill and his team at WCG have provided design and creative services for clients such as the Houston Astros, Disney, McLane Company Mattel, UMHB and many more. Around 2002, Bill returned to painting as a personal outlet for creativity. Painting and drawing allows him to explore ideas and techniques free from any constraints. He has created pieces in a variety of styles, but has spent the past couple of years focused on portraits. These days, Bill mostly works in oil on canvas with occassional studies in acrylic or watercolor.
